There are people who make things, and there are people who sell things.
Somehow, historically, in a majority of companies/corporations there is a segregation of sales/marketing/business and development. Most of the time there is a requirement/plan coming out from business with a mighty deadline which then ascended to the development teams to make things happen. Somehow developers became to be considered as "smart-techy-quirky" people who are bad at communicating with clients and more like encapsulated department which is interfaced from inside by business analysts... That is so wrong.
Tech departments should be considered a pinnacle/main core of any organisation which heavily relies on its digital segment product.
Because if there is no product what would you sell/promote?
