Fresh unprotected SSH port opened for an hour ðŸĪŠ

Following my previous article about simple Web Camera surveillance project, here is an update.

As you may know, I used NAT (Network Addressing Translation) to my Raspberry Pi (SSH connection only), which means anyone from outside is able to "attempt" to connect to my instance.

Well, when I checked a cockpit (monitoring tool for linux), I found out that there was quite a number of machines trying to guess my "admin", "root" and "ubnt" username and password...

The thing is, I love to make new friends. But when I get 50 friend requests per minute, I'm getting a little bit nervous...

So in my next article I'll try to explain how to protect your SSH configuration, so you'll get only relevant connections!

Stay...

Excited
